Mempile Appoints Moty Mebel as New CEO  

 

Neve Ilan, Israel – January 30, 2008 – Mempile, a leader in next-generation optical storage technology, has appointed Moty Mebel as its new CEO.   Mr. Mebel brings over 30 years of successful entrepreneurial and managerial experience to the company, having occupied senior positions in various fields such as semiconductors, telecommunications and software development. Most recently, he served as CEO and continues to serve as Chairman of Smart Link, a leading communications solutions provider, which he also co-founded and played an instrumental role in the development and launch of its innovative PC Soft Modem technology.

Prior to founding Smart Link, Mr. Mebel served as Chief Operating Officer, General Manager and Vice President of Engineering for Zoran Corporation, a leading provider of multimedia chips for the PC and the consumer electronics industry.  Previously, over the course of a twelve-year tenure, Mr. Mebel held various senior positions at Intel, the world’s leading chip manufacturer, including spearheading the 80X87 product line which modernized the computer industry.

Mr. Mebel holds a B.Sc. EE degree from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.
